LASER HAIR REMOVAL FAQs
At Glo, we utilize the world’s leading laser hair removal technology—medical-grade Candela GentleLASE Pro and GentleYAG Pro. This TGA-approved systems harness Alexandrite technology to deliver optimal results. To ensure your comfort, our advanced cooling machines are used before, during, and after every laser treatment, minimizing any discomfort throughout the process.
One of the key advantages of laser hair removal is that it's nearly painless, especially when compared to waxing. Each laser pulse lasts less than a second and creates a mild tingling sensation. In more sensitive areas, like the upper lip, it may feel similar to a light snap of a rubber band. To minimize any heat or discomfort, we use an advanced cooling system alongside our laser device, ensuring a more comfortable experience.
Unfortunately, we are unable to treat blonde, grey/white, and certain types of red hair with our laser hair removal treatment. This is because the laser targets the melanin (pigment) in the hair, and these hair colors lack sufficient pigment to effectively absorb the laser light.
Depending on the hair, skin type, and body area being treated, you will require treatments at 4-6 weeks intervals. For the facial area, treatments should be done in 2-week intervals unless recommended otherwise.
Each part of the facial and body area has a different growing cycle, so hair reduction will vary depending on what stage your follicles are in at the time of the treatment. After each treatment hair is reduced hence it is important to complete the entire recommended course of treatments and at consistent intervals for best results. We recommend a series of 10-12 treatments and maintenance treatments every 2-3 months for permanent hair reduction.

It is optional for the parent or guardian to be in the treatment room during the first session.
